The Foreigners Registration Office (FRO) is an Indian government agency for foreigner registration and immigration services. It has regional offices in various cities and an online e-FRRO scheme since 2018. Web based application aimed to build centralized online platform for foreigners for visa related services. Its key objective is to provide Faceless, Cashless and Paperless services to the foreigners with user friendly experience. Using this application, foriegners are required to create their own USER-ID by registering themselves. Foreign nationals planning to visit certain Restricted or Protected Areas in India require a Restricted Area Permit (RAP) or Protected Area Permit (PAP) which can be obtained through the e-FRRO portal. E-FRRO is a web-based platform that allows foreigners/international students to register, extend, convert or exit their visa online. It is mandatory for students staying in India for more than 180 days on certain visa categories.
