LaLiga has terminated its exclusive media rights contract with Galaxy Racer (GXR) in the Indian subcontinent, after the media company failed to pay its fees for several months. Streaming service FanCode is now likely to secure the rights, SportBusiness understands, with final contracting in process. The proposed agreement would only cover India. LaLiga , Spain's top-flight football competition, and Galaxy Racer, a Dubai-based transmedia multinational, have signed a Letter of Intent to create a 15-year Joint Venture. The JV will offer LaLiga new avenues and opportunities to increase brand presence and target younger audiences in the MENA region and Indian subcontinent. Serie A matches are shown live on Galaxy Racer ( GXR ) in the Indian subcontinent (Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka). The deal between Serie A and GXR is set to run until the end of the 2027-28 season.
