PM Vishwakarma Yojana is a Central Government scheme launched to support traditional artisans and craftspeople across 18 trades . It offers free skill training, daily ₹500 stipend, ₹15,000 toolkit incentive, and collateral-free loans up to ₹3 lakh. In the above backdrop, a new scheme , called ‘ PM Vishwakarma ’, aims at improving the quality as well as the reach of products and services of artisans and craftspeople and to ensure that the Vishwakarmas are integrated into the domestic and global value chains. The Scheme components include recognition through PM Vishwakarma Certificate and ID Card, Skill Upgradation, Toolkit Incentive, Credit Support, Incentive for Digital Transactions and Marketing Support. The Scheme has been rolled out across the country and its benefits have been initiated.
