Congress MLA Uma Thomas was on Sunday badly injured after she reportedly fell from a gallery at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi. Thomas was attending an official event at the stadium when the accident took place, in which she sustained head injuries and was hospitalised for emergency treatment. Uma Thomas is the member of the Kerala Legislative Assembly, representing the Thrikkakkara seat which she won in the 2022 byelections.
