Bhakri: (bhākri

Brand : Bhakri

Bhakri (bhākri, bhākkari, bhākari, bhākhri, bhākhari) is a round flatbread often eaten in the cuisines of the states of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Karnataka in India. Bhakri is a traditional Gujarati flatbread , celebrated for its rustic texture and nutty flavor, made from whole wheat flour or millet flour. This unleavened bread is a staple in rural Gujarat, often enjoyed with curries, pickles, or ghee for its simplicity and wholesome taste. Bhakri is an all-time favourite Gujarati flatbread, loved for its simplicity, comforting texture, and wholesome taste. In this recipe, I’ve given the traditional bhakri a delightful twist by adding finely chopped vegetables, a blend of different flours, and a mix of regular Indian spices enhanced with a touch of Chinese sauce. A light, soft, rice flour flatbread, the bhakri can be served with pithla, thechaa, chicken/mutton/vegetable curry. Makes an excellent and filling meal.
