As part of the ongoing Bihar Diwas 2025 celebrations at the Gandhi Maidan in Patna, the Social Welfare Department has set up 13 unique stalls, showcasing various welfare schemes and community-driven initiatives. The tradition of celebrating Bihar Diwas was initiated by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in 2010 to honor the state’s pride and achievements. Bihar has made remarkable strides in various sectors, including Self-Help Groups (Jeevika Didis), the Ganga Water Uplifting Project, and an extensive road network. Patna: The historic Gandhi Maidan has been transformed into a vibrant cultural hub as Bihar gears up for an unprecedented Bihar Diwas celebration from March 22 to 26. With an expanded exhibition space, interactive displays, and a packed schedule of performances, this year’s event—centered around the Bihar diwas 2025 is a public holiday across the state as offices, organisations, banks, and educational institutions under the central and state government remain closed.
