GSLV full form, Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle, is an expendable launch vehicle operated by the Indian Space Research organization. It was used from 2001 to 2018 in thirteen launches, with more launches planned. GSLV is a three stage vehicle capable of launching 2.3 ton class of satellites into Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit. It has a cryogenic upper stage that enhances the payload capability and is one of the few countries to develop this technology.
