The International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) has been established to regulate and develop financial services in the International Financial Services Centres (IFSCs) located in India. K. Rajaraman, Chairman of IFSCA, said that the International Financial Services Centre at GIFT City is rapidly evolving into a global financial gateway, drawing interest from international firms and investors while strengthening India’s access to capital for key growth sectors. IFSCA is a statutory body established in 2020 to regulate the GIFT International Financial Services Centre and other special economic zones in India. It issues regulations, signs MoUs, and has several committees to oversee various financial sectors and products. The IFSCA is a unified authority for the development and regulation of financial products, financial services and financial institutions in the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) in India.
