New education policy 2020: PM SHRI

PM SHRI: 14,500 schools across India: quality education , cognitive development, and 21st-century skills in students. DIKSHA: to enhance teacher training and professional development by accelerating innovative educational solutions and experiments. National Education Policy , 2020 National Education Policy , 2020 (NEP) envisions a massive transformation in education through– “an education system rooted in Indian ethos that contributes directly to transforming India, that is Bharat, sustainably into an equitable and vibrant knowledge society, by providing high quality education to all, thereby making India a global knowledge superpower.” The NEP 2020 is founded on the five guiding pillars of Access, Equity, Quality, Affordability ... A number of initiatives are also undertaken by UGC and AICTE for quality improvement in higher and technical education. NEP 2020 unequivocally endorses and envisions a substantial increase in public investment in education by both the Central government and all State Governments. NEP 2020 emphasizes ensuring universal access to school education at all levels, from preschool to secondary. With emphasis on Early Childhood Care and Education, the 10+2 structure of school curricula will be replaced by a 5+3+3+4 curricular structure.
