Normocytic normochromic: Anaemia is an anaemia

Normocytic normochromic anaemia is an anaemia in which red blood cells (RBCs) are of normal size (normocytic) and colour (normochromic), but their count is less than desired to deliver enough oxygen throughout the body. What is normocytic anemia? Normocytic anemia happens when you have fewer red blood cells than normal, and those blood cells don’t have the normal amount of hemoglobin. Hemoglobin is a protein in your red blood cells. It helps red blood cells carry oxygen throughout your body. Normocytic normochromic anemia differs from other forms of anemia because the RBCs' average size and hemoglobin content are typically within normal limits. RBCs typically appear similar to normal cells under microscopic examination. Normocytic normochromic anemia is a type of anemia characterized by red blood cells (RBCs) that are of normal size (normocytic) and have a normal hemoglobin content (normochromic).
