Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan (PMSMA) ensures free, quality antenatal care for all pregnant women in India on the 9th of every month. Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana was introduced in 2017 by the Ministry of Women and Child Development. It is a conditional cash transfer scheme for pregnant women of 19 years of age or above for the first live birth.
