Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai, a distinguished officer from the Kumaon Regiment, has held several key operational roles during his career. Before his elevation to DGMO, he served as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Chinar Corps, where he led counter-insurgency operations in Jammu and Kashmir. Lt. General Rajiv Ghai is currently posted as the DGMO of the Indian Army. Before his current role, which he assumed in October 2024, Lt.
