The portal has been launched by Union Home & Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah Ji for making payment to the members of the society, who have made deposit before 22nd March 2022, and the maturity is due but unpaid at the time of making claim. The Ministry is taking all possible steps for payment to the genuine depositors of the Sahara Group of Cooperative Societies. An amount of Rs.2,025.75 Crore has been released to 11,61,077 depositors of Sahara Group of Cooperative Societies upto 28.01.2025. The Portal allows genuine depositors of four cooperative societies to submit claims for refund . It is developed by the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies, the statutory body for registration and processes of MSCS.
