San Rachel, a model and outspoken advocate for inclusivity in the Indian beauty industry, allegedly died by suicide on Sunday at the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (Jipmer) in Puducherry. On 5 June 2025, due to stress and depression, she consumed 50 blood pressure pills at her father’s home. Her father took her to a government hospital, and she was later transferred to a private hospital. However, she reportedly left the hospital without informing anyone and refused further treatment. Over the next few days, her health got worse. A case of suicide of a famous model, San Rachel, from Puducherry has come to light. Police suspect that she may have taken this step due to heavy debt and stress. Puducherry: San Rachel, 25, a well-known model from Puducherry, died by suicide after allegedly consuming an overdose of pills at her residence in Karamanikuppam.
