About Tinsukia Municipal Board Tinsukia Municipal Board was first established on 14th Oct’ 1919 as Tinsukia Union headed by Late. M E Slater as Chairman. Which was converted in Town Committee on 15th Nov’1926 headed by Late. Saradananda Baruah as Chairman. Later on Tinsukia Town Committee was converted to Tinsukia Municipal Board on 17 Sept’ 1937 headed by Late, Humeswar Baruah as Chairman in the British Rolling period.
