Ustm: Is the first state private university

USTM is the first state private university in the field of Science & Technology in the entire North East India, sponsored by ERD Foundation, Guwahati. It offers UG, PG and Ph.D. courses in various schools and colleges, and has been accredited with "A Grade" by NAAC in 2021. USTM was ranked among the best 200 universities of India in the 9th edition of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2023. [13][14] As of August 2023, it is the only private university in the northeastern region to make it to the list.
