Yediyur Lake in Bengaluru is one of the oldest lakes in the city. It existed during the Hoysala period, 1,400 years ago and was the source of water for the fields surrounding the lake. Said to be dating back to the Hoysala period, Yediyur Lake, near Basavanagudi, is a serene oasis that’s popular with joggers and bird watchers.
